KORKUT 140/35 Air Defense System is developed for the effective air defense of mechanized troops and mobile units. KORKUT 140/35 Air Defense System operates as platoons consisting of 3 Gun Systems and 1 Command & Control System.KORKUT 140/35 Gun System has capability of firing programmable airburst ammunition (ATOM 35 ABM) which is developed by ASELSAN. ATOM 35 ABM and ATOM 35 I-ABM, which is an upgraded version with increased number of particals, highly improves the effectiveness of ground-based air defense against modern air threatsincluding air-to-ground missiles, cruise missiles and UAVs.
