Multispectral smoke generator MSG
-
- Smoke Generator (MSG), mobile system, which is a vehicle mounted mechanical smoke generator that's capable of generating visual / infrared (IR) / Radio frequency (RF) obscuring smoke screen continuously to protect sensitive sites and areas.
-
- The MSG should be able to produce an overall smoke cloud with sustainable obscuring efficiency against all the electro-optical spectrum from visible to infrared (IR) in addition to millimeter wave band (MMW) along with the masking duration time.
- The produced overall smoke cloud must be effective against all types of available infrared lasers used for aiming modules or beam rider guidance.
- The MSG with all accessory component should be able to be integrated with a common local standard 6*6 off-road vehicle chassis without any modifications.
- The MSG must be supplied with all the smoke agent (IR and MMW) that are sufficient for testing, evaluation and operation in Egypt.
Smoke generator to produce heavy smoke fumes, with general specifications as follows:
1. A 9.5 Hp single-cylinder, 4 stroke petrol engine that can be run with a 12-volt acid battery or by rope and handle with an average speed of 2450 rpm and equipped with a battery charger.
2. Blower capacity 275 m³/hr at 2450 rpm.
3. Engine fuel tank capacity: 5 L of petrol sufficient for 3 hours continuous operation.
4. Heater fuel tank capacity: at least 55 L of Diesel sufficient for 5 hours of continuous operation, the tank shall be rust and corrosion resistant.
5. Smoke fuel: Diesel, it can be towed from any external source (tank / barrel) through 3-meter towing and discharge hoses with a filter for fuel purification.
6. Fuel consumption rate: from 55 to 560 l/s, can be controlled through fuel pressure valve.
7. Smoke production head: moving 180º horizontally and 360º vertically, designed to produce smoke with regular cone shape.
8. Reflector for the smoke cycle for cleaning tracks made of stainless steel.
9. Acid or dry battery, 12 V 65 Am.
10. A valve to control smoke molecules from 10 to 100 microns.
